To create the best learning experience for your students, you can optimize ApparelMagic using Users and Divisions.First we'll look at Users by going to the User Management module.
You can create and edit users in this module. We'll examine a student profile we've created as an example.
For best results, create an individual user for each student. You may use their full name or alphanumeric combinations in the Username field, whichever is your preference.You may use a student's .edu or personal email address in the Email field.
On the Overview page, any users with admin access can modify the student's password.You can also monitor student activity within ApparelMagic in the Activity column.Next, we'll look at the Email tab.
Though optional, adding email information will allow students to experience ApparelMagic's email capabilities.Next, we'll continue on to the Permissions tab.
You may use this tab to set your students' permission levels. If ApparelMagic is offered in multiple classes, you can customize users to suit their needs.
A merchandising instructor, for example, may want to create sample product data and give their students access to only the Customers and Orders modules using the Salesperson group. This ensures students do not alter the product data the class shares.
Admin privileges are recommended only for instructors or teaching assistants. You can set further restrictions using the Module and Permission fields at right.
Next, we'll choose Divisions from the Settings submenu on the left-hand navigation bar.
We also recommend every student have their own Division. This allows them to create transaction printouts using that division name and address. We'll look at one division we set up as an example.
You can enter the Student's name as the Division Name for easy reference, while also defining a company name that will show on transaction printouts.Students can select their division when creating orders or invoices.
Finally, we'll look at a product record in the Styles module. You can find this by selecting Products in the left-hand navigation bar and selecting Styles.
We'll look at a style we've created as an example.
Using the Collection field, you may instruct students to use their individual divison''s Division Display Name. This allows students to easily search and sort to find their products and add them to orders or run reports.
